Tilak Verma rained sixes in 'Dhoni's house', now no one is ahead in the world

In the second T20 match against West Indies, Team India's vice-captain Tilak Verma played a stormy inning of 44 not out. Tilak hit 3 fours and 3 sixes during his innings. He hit these 3 sixes on the first 3 balls of the last over only. While batting brilliantly in the death overs in 'Dhoni's house' i.e. Ranchi, Tilak showed how deadly he is in this phase.

Before the death overs (17-20) started, Tilak was on 10 runs in 6 balls. After this he scored 34 runs in 12 balls. Tilak has scored 414 runs in just 178 balls at a strike rate of 232.58 in the death overs of T20 cricket this year. During this period he has hit 25 fours and 35 sixes. His strike rate is the best among the 58 batsmen who have played at least 100 balls in this phase in 2026.
