South Korea: 38 people injured when roof collapses in supermarket in Daegu city, President orders investigation

Desk. News of an accident has come to light from Daegu city of South Korea. Part of the plaster ceiling of a supermarket in the city collapsed. According to fire officials, at least 38 people suffered minor injuries in the accident. Giving information on the incident, Daegu Fire Department said that the roof collapse incident occurred at 10:16 am. After this 66 other people were taken out of the building.




  • Nine people were treated in hospitals after the accident. Fire department officer Yoon Jong-mi said that the number of injured in the accident may increase. At the same time, emergency personnel present on the spot believe that the possibility of serious injury to any person is very less.

    A photo from the scene showed emergency rescue workers searching through debris after the roof collapsed on the second floor of the four-story building. However, the reason for the roof collapse could not be immediately known yet. The office of South Korean President Lee Jae-Myung said he has instructed officials to make every possible effort to rescue people and ensure a thorough response to the incident.
