Certain groups and influencers are blocking Starlink from entering the Indian market. Such a claim was made by SpaceX boss and American billionaire Elon Musk. This time he directly targeted the Ambanis. Said, “Dear Prime Minister Ambani, I apologize for not realizing that you are the real master of India.” However, Musk did not mention anyone by name. However, it is believed that he was talking about Mukesh Ambani, the owner of Reliance Industries Limited.
Recently, the American billionaire made a post on his X handle. There he writes, 'Naturally, you will want to maintain your monopoly over the great people of India. But even so, would you consider giving Starlink a chance to compete?' According to Musk, there are many areas in India where there is no internet service like any other country. As a result, children are deprived of the opportunity of education, small traders are not getting the opportunity to sell their products in the global market. Starlink can improve their standard of living.
But why is Starlink desperate to enter the Indian market? What is behind it only commercial interests? Or is there a shadow of the Deep State? According to a section of informed circles, Starlink wants to enter the Indian market to serve larger political interests. In fact, the North-Eastern states of India are geographically and strategically very important and relevant. The activities of armed groups in the region have long been a headache for the government. The situation could be further complicated if Starlink's artificial satellite internet service reaches remote areas. Because armed organizations can become active using this internet service. As a result, there may be an attempt to create anarchy in the country, which is very worrying for the security of India.
Incidentally, Musk's company SpaceX activated Starlink in Ukraine after the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022. It then changed the course of the war. Starlink is used by the country's military for various important tasks on the battlefield. Notable among them are – communication and coordination, operation of drones, intelligence sharing etc.
Note that millions of people around the world use Starlink's state-of-the-art internet services. So far, Starlink has launched more than 6,000 satellites. Musk's organization aims to make that number 42,000 by 2027. Starlink high speed internet speed will be between 50 and 250 Mbps. The service is mainly operated from Low Earth Orbit (altitude 160 to 2000 km above the surface). As this service is mainly done through satellite, internet service can reach any remote area easily.
