‘Chauhaan’ Update: Ajay Devgn begins filming in Kargil

Drishyam The Conclusion emerged as a blockbuster for Ajay Devgn this year after its release over the lucrative October 2 weekend.

Now the 57-year-old Indian actor is expected to return to the big screen around the same time next year with his upcoming film Chauhaan.

He has begun production on the war drama, with filming underway in Kargil, Ladakh, as per Bollywood Hungama.

“Ajay Devgn is shooting for Chauhaan in Kargil. He arrived here a few days ago and has already begun filming,” a source told the outlet.

Continuing, “Some key scenes will be shot in this picturesque town. The makers had obtained the necessary permissions in advance and have made elaborate arrangements to ensure that the shoot goes smoothly.”

Speaking on the weather conditions, the insider shared, “It’s quite cold here in Kargil, and the weather will surely add an authentic touch to the scenes of Chauhaan.”

Ladakh seems to be a familiar territory for Ajay, who previously filmed important sequences there for J. P. Dutta’s LOC: Kargil (2003).

Directed by Neeraj Yadav, Chauhaan is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma, with Jio Studios and Colour Yellow Productions backing the project.

Chauhaan was officially announced on June 25, 2026, a date that coincides with the birth anniversary of Ajay Devgn’s late father, action director Veeru Devgan.

The movie is expected to reach cinemas on October 1, 2027.
