Cockroot Janata Party (CJP) has announced to protest once again on Sunday at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The party says that its protests will continue till the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar. CJP has started this movement regarding alleged irregularities in the voter list. The police have not given permission for the demonstration and have taken several steps to maintain law and order.

A day before this, on Saturday, the police had detained about 7,000 people to stop the CJP demonstration in Delhi. Four former Chief Ministers were also included in these. Although most of the people were released by night, top party leaders and YouTuber Dhruv Rathi were reported to be in custody. Two petitions related to this matter are to be heard in the Supreme Court on Sunday. At the same time, due to the demonstration, there is a possibility of traffic being affected in Delhi for the second consecutive day.

Through this petition, questions have been raised on the legality of detention. The hearing of this case in the Supreme Court is also scheduled for Sunday.

9. After the announcement of CJP's new protest, traffic restrictions will remain in force in Delhi for the second consecutive day on Sunday. According to Delhi Traffic Police, traffic diversion can be done at 30 major places in the capital. In the advisory issued late on Saturday night, it was said that from 6 am on Sunday, traffic will be diverted to other routes as per the current situation.
