The authority shared this alert on social media, warning residents and other people in the area about the possible danger of floods. People were advised not to go near the river until the situation improves.

This new warning has come when Nepal is dealing with the situation after the terrible floods that hit the country on August 26. The disaster affected communities along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river corridors, causing massive destruction and loss of life and property. Many districts including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and Chitwan were affected.

Nepalese authorities ended the main search and rescue operation on 5 October and focused their efforts on rehabilitation. At least 1,455 people are reported dead after the August disaster, while 5,285 people are missing. The floods also damaged homes, roads, bridges, farms and hydropower infrastructure, leaving affected communities facing long recovery times. A new warning on the banks of Budhi Gandaki river has raised new concerns for the people living in low-lying areas. Local reporting said large amounts of dirty water was flowing downstream from the area in Gorkha district, so residents and travelers have been advised to remain vigilant and avoid river banks.
