Bollywood Actor Ranveer Singh Gets India’s First BMW i7 m50 Electric Luxury Sedan

The “Dhurandhar” fame Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is known for his electrifying personality. However, in the recent few years, he has developed some love for electric mobility as well. Recently, the actor was seen at the launch of the new BMW i7 and was very impressed with the car. He actually was so impressed by this electric sedan that he has now got himself India’s first BMW i7 50 xDrive M Sport. The videos showing the actor taking delivery of this luxury sedan have been shared online.

The video showing Ranveer Singh arriving at the BMW dealership to take delivery of his BMW i7 50 xDrive M Sport has been shared on Youtube by Supercar Hunters on their page. In this short clip, the security vehicle of Ranveer Singh, which is a white Toyota Fortuner Legender, is seen arriving at the dealership. And just behind this SUV is Ranveer Singh’s Hummer EV 3X.

Both of these cars can be seen with Ranveer Singh’s signature number “6969”. For those who may not be aware, all of the cars that are owned by Ranveer Singh boast the same “6969” number. After this, we can note that the actor parks his Hummer EV in front of the BMW dealership, and then he and his father both enter the BMW dealership. Like always, Ranveer can be seen filled with energy and greeting the dealership staff.

Another video has been shared online in which the actor can be seen coming out of the BMW dealership. Soon after this, he then takes the driving seat of his new BMW i7 50 xDrive M Sport. A few other videos have also been shared which show the actor driving the vehicle on the road with his Hummer EV and his security team’s Toyota Fortuner Legender behind.

A lot of people might believe that the new BMW i7 50 xDrive M Sport, which Ranveer Singh has taken delivery of, has been bought by him. However, in reality, this particular sedan is actually owned by BMW India Private Limited. Now, even though the registration number is Ranveer Singh’s signature number “6969”, this particular vehicle is not directly owned by him.

For those who may not be aware, BMW India recently announced Ranveer Singh as its brand ambassador. He was also present at the launch of the new i7 Facelift, which took place on September 11th. He was seen making a dashing entry at the event and then unveiling the new BMW i7 Facelift.

The BMW i7 50 xDrive M Sport has been launched in India at Rs 1.95 crore (ex-showroom). This luxury electric sedan gets a 112.5 kWh battery pack, which comes paired with two electric motors. It makes 455 bhp and 600 Nm. BMW claims it can perform a sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 5.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 kmph. Its claimed range is 728 km, which is 125 km more than the previous model.

The 50 xDrive M Sport is also locally assembled at BMW’s Chennai plant. The facelift features a number of exterior changes but retains the overall design of the existing i7. It gets a more squared-off kidney grille with illuminated surrounds, revised LED headlamps and a redesigned front bumper. The car also gets new alloy wheels, flush-fitting door handles and smoked tail-lamps, along with a redesigned tailgate and rear bumper.

Additionally, the cabin now also gets bigger changes, including BMW’s Panoramic Vision full-width projection at the base of the windscreen, a 17.9-inch central touchscreen running BMW Operating System X and a new 14.6-inch passenger display. Other highlights include a new four-spoke steering wheel, powered and massaging seats, connected car technology and advanced driver assistance systems.

At the top of the range is the BMW i7 M70 xDrive, which has been priced at Rs 2.65 crore (ex-showroom). It produces 680 bhp and 1,015 Nm. Its torque output increases to 1,100 Nm with Sport Boost. This helps the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 kmph. It uses the same 112.5 kWh battery but has a lower claimed range of 686 km.

Both variants support 250 kW DC fast charging, with a 10-80 percent charge taking 28 minutes, while a 10-minute top-up can add up to 235 km of range. A 22 kW AC charger takes around six hours for a full charge, and BMW offers a complimentary wallbox charger with installation.
