Netflix’s new TV and movie releases for the week of October 12-October 18, 2026, include Transformers One, The Diplomat Season 4, and others.
Directed by Josh Cooley, Transformers One is an animated science fiction action film. It is based on Hasbro’s Transformers toy line. The film narrates the story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, who shared a brotherly bond as friends and ended up changing Cybertron’s fate forever. It opened to positive reviews from critics but underperformed at the box office. The voice cast features Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, and Steve Buscemi, among others.
Also coming to The Diplomat Season 4. The fourth season threatens a major war as Grace Penn and VP Hal Wyler plan to steal the most powerful weapon from Russia. Showrunner and executive producer Debora Cahn expressed excitement for the upcoming season. I’m so excited about season 4. It’s going to be a lot of fun,” she told Netflix’s Tumdu. Cahn continued, “We get to the end of a season, and I always think, ‘Well, there’s no way that we can do this again.’ And then we dig back into it, and it’s like, ‘Oh my God, we have to keep going.’”
