Gmail Tips: Important emails going to spam folder? Use this simple trick and your problem will be solved in no time, know in detail

While using Gmail, it is common to see that many important emails go to the spam folder instead of directly to the inbox. This problem increases when messages from many important companies, banks or offices start accumulating in the spam folder. Google says that this problem occurs when emails in the spam folder are not marked as not spam. If you are also facing some of these problems, you can solve this problem by using simple tips.

Do not spam important emails in the spam folder

The company says that the reason any important email goes to the spam folder is not to delete the email from the spam folder and make it not spam. Also, if the sender’s email address is not saved in Google Contacts or if proper filters are not set up, important emails may end up in the spam folder. In that case, first open Gmail and go to ‘More’ on the left side. Then, open the ‘Spam’ folder. Select the email you want in the inbox and click on the Not Spam option that appears at the top. Now, the email will be removed from the spam folder. (Photo Courtesy: Pinterest)

Save the sender to Google Contacts

It may also be necessary to save any trusted sender’s email address in Google Contacts. For this, open Google Contacts and select the Create Contacts option. Now fill the sender’s name and other important information and save the contact. This will help Gmail identify the sender and reduce the chances of the email going to the spam folder.

Make a filter for the sender

If emails from a particular sender are constantly going into spam, Gmail can create a filter for that. Remember that this work has to be done by opening Gmail on the computer. For this, open Gmail and select ‘Show search options’ from the search bar at the top. Then, enter the sender’s email address in the ‘From’ field and click ‘Create Filter’.

Select ‘This’ option

After creating the filter you will see an option Never send it to spam, click on it. After that click on Create Filter. This will prompt Gmail to stop spamming emails from that sender. If emails from a trusted sender are constantly going to the ‘spam’ folder, this setting can be one of the most useful methods.
