Tezzbuzz Desk- Pradeep Shukla has been arrested from Kali Sarkar Mandir located in Kurancha village of Mauranipur area of Jhansi district. According to the police, the accused is originally a resident of Hardoi district. It is alleged that to escape from the police, he changed his identity and started living in the name of Satyanand Shukla. During this time he identified himself as Baba and started holding court in the temple.
The arrest of the accused is also in the news because on one hand the police was searching for him in old criminal cases, while on the other hand he is said to have more than three lakh followers on social media. Devotees seeking solution to their problems used to come to his court.
Was accused in cases of robbery and assault
According to the police, a case of robbery was registered against Pradeep Shukla in the year 2014 and assault in the year 2018. Permanent warrants were issued against him for not appearing in the court during the hearing of these cases. Since then Hardoi police was busy searching for him.
Police say that the accused had changed his identity to avoid arrest. He started living under the name of Satyanand Shukla and assumed the form of a saint. Later his activities started being conducted from Kali Sarkar Temple in Kurancha village located in Mauranipur, Jhansi. In this way, despite being wanted in old criminal cases, he made his mark as Baba in the area.
