How to Get Mini Pumps in ARC Raiders

Mini Pumps are useful items to find in ARC Raiders, after the Frozen Trail update. They are classified as uncommon recyclable items and can appear in areas with Technological and Electrical loot. Since their spawns are random, there is no single guaranteed spot. Search high-tech facilities, check containers carefully, and extract safely.

What Are Mini Pumps Used For?

Mini Pumps are not weapons or equipment you use directly in combat. Most importantly, you need three Mini Pumps to upgrade the Research Station to Level 1 in your Workshop.

Each Mini Pump weighs 0.5 kg, has a stack size of five, and is classed as an Uncommon recyclable item. If you recycle one back at Speranza, you receive one Sensor and two Plastic Parts. Salvaging it during a raid provides two Plastic Parts instead. Keep your first three until the upgrade is complete.

Best Places to Find Mini Pumps

Mini Pumps spawn as random loot in areas marked Technological or Electrical. Prioritise research buildings, offices with electronic equipment, communication facilities, and industrial control rooms.

1. Cielo Sereno Observatory on Pendola Pass

The Cielo Sereno Observatory is a strong place to begin. Search the research rooms and terminal areas, paying attention to desks, equipment racks, shelves, utility boxes, and containers. Check side rooms too; small items are easy to miss.

Do not assume the Mini Pump will appear in the same room on every run. If the Observatory has already been cleared, move on instead of wasting time checking empty containers.

2. Port Authority Building on Riven Tides

The Port Authority Building is another option for players searching for technological loot. Search offices, control rooms, metal lockers, file cabinets, desks, and computer stations. Mini Pumps may also appear as loose loot on surfaces, so scan tables and workstations instead of opening containers alone.

The Customs House is worth checking as well. Search the upper command area and inspect desks, nearby storage bins, and other lootable spots. Neither location guarantees a spawn.

3. Communications Areas at Stella Montis

Stella Montis has several indoor locations with Electrical and Technological loot. Focus on the Communications wing and inspect terminal bays, desks, storage boxes, and nearby containers. You can also search the Lobby and Medical Research areas. Check reception counters, suitcases, and blue bins along corridors, and move on if the area is looted.

How to Farm Mini Pumps Efficiently

Use a simple routine to improve your chances of finding Mini Pumps:

  • Choose a point of interest marked Technological or Electrical before deploying.
  • Search desks, shelves, lockers, cabinets, and loose items on equipment surfaces.
  • Check side rooms and containers rather than rushing through the main entrance.
  • Avoid unnecessary fights while carrying valuable loot.
  • Extract as soon as you have the three Mini Pumps needed for the upgrade.

There is no guaranteed drop rate, so you may need several raids. If it is looted, rotate to another area. Carry a light loadout if your only goal is scavenging, so losing a raid does not cost you expensive gear. Keep an eye on ARC machines and other players while searching, because opening menus or checking shelves can leave you exposed. If you find a Mini Pump, place it in your Safe Pocket when possible; this helps protect valuable loot if you are eliminated. Use the map’s loot labels to choose your next building, and avoid crossing the entire map for one unconfirmed spawn.

Should You Keep or Recycle Mini Pumps?

Keep at least three Mini Pumps in your Stash until you have upgraded the Research Station to Level 1. Do not recycle them just to collect Sensors or Plastic Parts if you still need the upgrade materials. Once the Workshop requirement is complete, extra Mini Pumps can be recycled at Speranza for one Sensor and two Plastic Parts each, or salvaged during a raid for two Plastic Parts.
