53-year-old Indian migrant Kulwant Singh, who hails from Punjab, has been living in Dubai city of United Arab Emirates (UAE) and working as a heavy truck driver for the last 18 years. Amidst the difficult and tiring daily routine, he never thought that a simple lottery ticket would change the course of his entire life. In the latest draw series of Abu Dhabi Big Ticket, a big prize of 500,000 Dirham (UAE Dirham) i.e. about Rs 1.3 crore in Indian currency has been won in the name of Kulwant Singh and his friends. As soon as this news reached his village in Punjab from Dubai, there was a wave of happiness among the family and relatives. The success of Kulwant Singh, who is busy taking care of his family by steering the road day and night, proves that when a person's dedication and luck come together, a miracle can happen in a person's life at any time. This journey of winning the jackpot prize lottery due to the strong partnership of five friends and random numbers is no less than a film story. Kulwant Singh did not buy tickets alone, rather he had formed a group of five of his other friends. This entire group had been participating in the Big Ticket draw by collecting small amounts of money every month continuously for the last two years. This time when he was taking the ticket, he had chosen a random ticket number without any planning, instead of any particular date or date of birth. This random number performed such a miracle on the day of the draw that the consolation prize of 5 lakh dirhams was directly registered in his name. The winning amount will now be divided equally among all the five members of the group. Kulwant Singh told that when he got the official information of this victory, for a moment he could not believe his eyes and ears. Kulwant Singh will fulfill his family's dream in India. When Kulwant Singh was asked by the media what he would do with this huge prize money, he emotionally said that his first and foremost priority is his family and his own house. He will use this amount to meet the financial needs of his family in Punjab and build his dream permanent home. Such success stories bring a new ray of hope for Indian workers who have been toiling in the UAE for years. Kulwant and his friends have also clarified that they are very happy and satisfied with this victory, but they will continue to try their luck in the upcoming draw of Abu Dhabi Big Ticket by forming similar groups. This is not the first time in the history of Abu Dhabi Big Ticket and Dubai Lucky Draw that the luck of an Indian expatriate or driver has brightened like this overnight. Thousands of Indian laborers and drivers working in UAE have time and again become owners of crores in such prestigious draws. In the recent series, along with Kulwant Singh, other Indian citizens have also won prizes worth lakhs of dirhams. This success of Kulwant Singh has once again created a new wave of positivity and hope among the millions of Indian expatriates present in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the entire Gulf region.
