Mamitha Baiju has responded with surprise to a viral social media claim that her brother, Mithun Baiju, makes important decisions in her life, including those related to her love life and marriage.
The actor reacted to the post in its comments section by sharing a Minion sticker carrying the words “whaaat?!” Her response appeared to express disbelief at the claim, which circulated online amid growing interest in her personal life.
The speculation comes at a time when Mamitha is enjoying considerable attention for her recent films and performances. The actor has gained recognition across the Malayalam and Tamil film industries, with audiences and critics taking note of her varied roles.
Mamitha Baiju’s recent box-office success
Mamitha’s first release of the year, Kara, co-starring Dhanush, received criticism over her limited involvement in the film. However, her subsequent releases reportedly performed strongly at the global box office, with each crossing the Rs 250-crore mark.
According to reports, this achievement placed Mamitha alongside Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt in a rare category of Indian actresses associated with three consecutive films crossing the stated box-office milestone in the same year.
Her performances in Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, opposite Nivin Pauly, and Vishwanath and Sons, opposite Suriya, have particularly drawn praise. The two roles showcased contrasting characters, with viewers appreciating the ease with which she adapted her performance to each film.
Bethlehem Kudumba Unit also reportedly went on to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time, further adding to the actor’s growing profile.
Upcoming projects
Mamitha has several projects lined up across the South Indian film industries. These include Irandu Vaanam, featuring Vishnu Vishal, and Hello Dear, which reunites her with Sangeeth Prathap, her co-star in Premalu and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit.
She is also associated with an untitled project starring Ashwath Marimuthu. Pradeep Ranganathan, her co-star in Dude, is involved with the film as a producer. The project also features Swasika, debutant Anamika Mahi and Sivaji Sontineni in important roles.
While Mamitha’s professional achievements continue to attract attention, her brief response to the viral post has brought renewed focus to speculation about her private life. The actor’s reaction, however, does not provide further details about the claim, and the post’s assertion remains unverified.
