IPL 2027: Before the IPL 2027 season, Delhi Capitals has taken the biggest bet. Former great all-rounder and 'Sixer King' of the Indian team, Yuvraj Singh has been appointed as the new assistant and batting coach of Delhi Capitals. This is the first time in Yuvraj's illustrious and historic career that he will be seen in an official coaching role with a team. The most special thing about this big decision is that Yuvraj Singh will now be seen making strategies with his old captain i.e. Delhi Capitals head coach Sourav Ganguly in the dugout of the field. The return together of 'Dada' and his old platoon has given new hope to the fans of Delhi Capitals for their first IPL title.

Yuvraj Singh's 'official debut' in the world of coaching

After retiring from all formats of international cricket in 2019, Yuvraj Singh has played an important role in shaping the careers of many young Indian players. He has personally mentored star batsmen like Shubhman Gill, Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh. However, this will be the first time that he will be a part of the main coaching staff of a team in the IPL. Welcoming him, Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal said that Yuvi's winning mindset and ability to connect with the youth will prove invaluable to the team.

Yuvi's old and special relationship with Delhi

It is a very emotional and special moment for Yuvraj Singh to return to the Delhi team. As a player, he has played for Delhi franchise in the year 2015. During that time, Delhi bought him in the auction at a record price of Rs 16 crore, which was the biggest bid in IPL history at that time. Now after 12 years, he has come back in a new avatar, not as a player, but to improve the team's batsmen and teach them aggressive cricket.

Pairing of 'Dada and Yuvi', old memories and search for new glory

This new coaching staff of Delhi Capitals has reminded cricket fans of the old golden days. Sourav Ganguly was the captain who gave Yuvraj Singh a chance to debut in the Indian team in the year 2000. Both these legends have won many historic matches for India and now they are ready to take Delhi Capitals to new heights as coaches. In the last 19 seasons of IPL, Delhi team has not been able to win the trophy even once. In such a situation, this confluence of Ganguly's captaincy and Yuvraj's aggressive style can prove to be a masterstroke to end Delhi's title drought. Now it will be interesting to see how Delhi Capitals performs under the leadership of the duo of Dada and Yuvi and whether they are successful in winning the title this time or not.
