CJP founder Abhijit Deepke said in a post on 'X' that Ajinkya Shinde and several other team members have also been detained.
New Delhi. Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were taken into custody by Delhi Police at that time., When they were trying to reach Jantar Mantar. Police sources gave this information on Tuesday.
Abhijeet Deepke, founder of COZPA 'x' But said in a post that many other members of the team including Ajinkya Shinde have also been detained. Deepke said“Cockroaches carrying tricolor entered Jantar Mantar early today, After which he was taken into custody by Delhi Police.”
He told that Ranka, Slave, Shinde and other team members have been detained. Tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi he said“You cannot de-notify the voice of resistance.”
He was referring to the removal of Jantar Mantar from the list of designated protest sites. Delhi Police has removed Jantar Mantar from the list of designated protest sites., Due to which now demonstrations will not be possible there. Although, Police have identified three other locations for demonstrations.
Deepke also shared a video in which CJP members are seen jumping over a gate to enter Jantar Mantar and raising slogans of “Bharat Mata ki Jai”. Policemen are seen running and catching them.
Protests are being held by various organizations against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. Meanwhile, CJP members have been detained.Delhi Police has deployed a large number of police personnel across the city to maintain law and order.
