CM Dhami enraged by Rahul Gandhi's statement on Ajit Doval, said – Devbhoomi will not tolerate the insult of its son.

Uttarakhand News: The politics of Uttarakhand has heated up over the recent comments made by former Congress President Rahul Gandhi regarding National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed strong opposition to these statements. He clearly said that any kind of light or irresponsible statement on extremely sensitive and important matters like national security is not appropriate. The Chief Minister bluntly said that the people of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand will not accept disrespect of their sons at any cost.

Dhami's strong stance on national security and dignity

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Ajit Doval has made unique contribution to strengthening the security, sovereignty and strategic interests of the country for decades. The entire nation respects his courage, dedication and strategic skills. Dhami said that when it comes to the internal and external security of the country, leaders should rise above party politics. It is the basic duty of every leader to keep in mind the truth of facts and decorum of language while making statements in politics.

Direct questions raised on Uttarakhand Congress

The Chief Minister not only targeted Rahul Gandhi, but he also put local Congress leaders in Uttarakhand in the dock. Dhami raised the question that when Rahul Gandhi repeatedly targets Uttarakhand's son Ajit Doval in his political speeches, then why do the Congress leaders here remain completely silent. He asked whether the local Congress leaders would muster the courage to ask their high command why they were carrying out such attacks on Doval. Dhami also said that the state Congress leaders should publicly tell whether they are standing with the respect of Ajit Doval or are only engaged in pursuing their party's politics.

Differences are normal in democracy, but national interest is paramount

Taking his statement further, the Chief Minister said that India is a vibrant democracy and it is very natural to have differences of opinion between different political ideologies. Opposing each other's policies in elections or in normal times is a part of democracy, but the limit of this opposition ends when the national security system is targeted. He said that a lot of responsibility and seriousness should be shown while speaking on security related institutions and strategic personalities. Unrestrained statements affect the strategic image of the country, which cannot be justified in any way.

Military tradition of Devbhoomi and contribution of sons

Chief Minister Dhami also specifically mentioned the rich military tradition of Uttarakhand. He said that this hilly state has given the country countless brave soldiers, mighty generals and skilled strategists. Every other family here is directly or indirectly connected with national defence. From protecting the country's borders to taking major diplomatic decisions, the brave sons of Uttarakhand have always risked their lives and intelligence. The entire state is deeply proud of the achievements, sacrifices and bravery of these sons.

Learning to maintain decorum in public communication

In the end, the Chief Minister said in clear words that the people of Uttarakhand are fully conscious about the self-respect of their heroes. He said that this brave land will never compromise with its honour. Dhami reiterated that political parties have every right to express their views, but it is mandatory to maintain decorum and responsibility in public dialogue. He expressed hope that such irresponsible statements will be stopped and all political parties will show maturity on serious issues related to the country's security.
