actor Suhail Nayyar, who is preparation for the release of his upcoming movie उद्टा Teer, has opened up about farming a sense of detachment, saying actors must learn to focus on their performance rather than the outcome.
Speaking to IANS during the film's promotions in Mumbai, Nayyar explained that a actor has limited control over the final edit, including which takes are selected and which performances make it to the screen.
“You can be attached to the characters, but attachments to the result is not a healthy thing,” he said, addition that a actor's best work may not always features in the final cut.
Nayyar said a performance frequently depends on the contributions of several people, including the editor and music team. Recalling instances when slow-motion shots and background music enhanced his performances, he noted that such effects were not completely within his control.
“It's not like I don't care. Whatever it is, you learn, I think its the right way. you don't go crazy in happiness, you don't go crazy when things don't go your way. you keep going,” he added.
Talking about उद्टा Teer, the actor said the movie combines patriotism and comedy. Nayyar is reported playing a negative character in the movie, which is scheduled to release in cinemas on October 23, 2026.
