Lucknow, Read. To provide relief to the common people during the festive season, the Yogi government has made arrangements to provide sugar at subsidized rates in the capital Lucknow. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, refined sugar will be sold by the Sugar Industry and Sugarcane Development Department at the sales centers located in the premises of Lal Bahadur Shastri Sugarcane Farmers Institute. Here consumers will be able to buy sugar at Rs 51 per kg.
According to the department, sales centers of Sugar Corporation and Cooperative Sugar Mill Association have been set up in the premises of Lal Bahadur Shastri Sugarcane Farmers Institute. Sugar can be purchased at these centers every working day from 10 am to 5 pm. For the convenience of consumers, packets ranging from 1 kg to 50 kg have been made available.
Know for how much you will get a packet of sugar
A packet of one kg refined sugar will be available for Rs 52 at the sales center of Sugar Corporation. The price of a two kg packet has been fixed at Rs 102, a five kg packet at Rs 250 and a 50 kg packet at Rs 2,500. At the same time, sugar from Cooperative Sugar Mill Sampoorna Nagar will be available at a relatively lower price. Its price of one kg packet has been kept at Rs 51, two kg packet at Rs 102, five kg packet at Rs 245 and 50 kg packet at Rs 2,400.
Facility will be available every working day
According to the Sugarcane Development Department, arrangements have been made to provide sugar regularly at the sales centres. The department has appealed to the citizens of the capital to visit these centers to buy sugar at discounted rates and avail the facility.
