Netflix’s upcoming Bridgerton prequel could ope the door to another captivating love story, with fans speculating about the possible introduction of the Rokesby family.

The new series will explore the romance between Violet and Edmund Bridgerton, offering a glimpse into the family’s history before their children embark on their own romantic journeys. The project was announced on October 8, with Shonda Rhimes and Nicholas Nardini attached to the story.

However, excitement extends beyond Violet and Edmund’s relationship. Fans of Julia Quinn’s novels are wondering whether the adaptation might also introduce the Rokesbys, a family closely connected to the Bridgertons.

Quinn’s Rokesby book series follows the romantic lives of several family members, including George Rokesby and Billie Bridgerton, Edmund’s older sister. The novels also feature Violet and Edmund, alongside their children during their younger years.

These connections have fuelled speculation that the prequel could lay the groundwork for a separate Rokesby series. Some viewers believe Netflix might use the upcoming show to gauge audience interest in expanding the Bridgerton universe.

For now, neither a Rokesby spinoff nor its potential storyline has been officially confirmed. Nevertheless, the possibility of exploring another generation of romance has added fresh anticipation to the franchise.
