To strengthen the power system in Ladakh, 9 MW Hanu Small Hydroelectric Project and Dah-Hanu-Khaltsi Transmission Line have been started. At the same time, under Him Sarovar Scheme, 40 water bodies have been developed in 40 villages. Its objective is to overcome water shortage during the sowing season. Additionally, the country's first Petroglyph Conservation Park was inaugurated at Indus Ghats, Leh. Here the ancient figures and historical traces carved on the rocks will be preserved, which will help in saving the thousands of years old heritage of Ladakh.
