Kriti Sanon's legal battle
Famous Bollywood actress and National Award winner Kriti Sanon has taken legal action to protect her 'personality rights'. He has submitted a petition in this regard in the Delhi High Court. During the preliminary hearing of the case on Friday, October 16, the court directed the submission of a compilation of relevant court judgments and research material to understand the legal aspects of the subject.
Justice Purushendra Kumar Kaurav has asked Senan's lawyer, Advocate Praveen Anand, to submit a compilation of judgments and research material related to the case. The next hearing of this case will be on October 29.
Scope of personality rights
During the hearing, the court asked lawyer Praveen Anand what was included in 'personality rights'. The lawyer clarified that this includes a person's voice, face, image, photographs, and videos.
He also said that the scope of 'personality rights' extends to the situation when a person's face is used commercially without his permission.
Celebrities with protected personality rights
Delhi High Court has earlier also protected the 'personality rights' of many famous personalities. These include Kangana Ranaut, Tabu, Vijay Deverakonda, and cricketer Yuvraj Singh.
Apart from this, the court has also banned Allu Arjun, Mohanlal, Aniruddhacharya, Jubin Nautiyal, Sunil Gavaskar, Kajol, R. It has also provided security to other celebrities like Madhavan, and Jr NTR.
Kriti Sanon's career
Kriti Sanon recently starred in 'Cocktail 2' alongside Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. He has worked in many acclaimed films like 'Dilwale', 'Bareilly Ki Barfi', 'Mimi', and 'Tere Ishq Mein'.
For her film 'Mimi', Kriti won the National Film Award for Best Actress. This film was directed by Laxman Utekar, in which Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Supriya Pathak, and Eden Whiteock also played important roles.
