It is the only Vietnamese institution included in the rankings for the second consecutive year, maintaining its global position in the 251–300 band. Its overall score increased from 36.0 to 37.2 out of 100 as the number of ranked MBA programs in Asia grew from 70 to 81.
Published by higher education analytics organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the 2027 rankings cover more than 400 MBA programs across 73 countries and territories. They assess 13 sub-indicators across five categories: Employability, Alumni Outcomes, Return on Investment, Thought Leadership and Diversity.
QS said the rankings draw on responses from 43,870 academics and 37,660 employers worldwide.
Graduate career outcomes contribute to ranking
BUV scored 100 out of 100 in entrepreneurship, an indicator measuring the proportion of graduates who establish and operate their own businesses within three months of completing their MBA programs.
The university attributed the result to the professional backgrounds of its MBA students, many of whom are managers, business owners and entrepreneurs seeking to apply academic knowledge to business operations.
Its Alumni Outcomes score reached 46.7, above the global average of 45.9 and comparable to those of several U.K. Russell Group institutions, including the universities of Exeter and Liverpool.

The university also scored 94 out of 100 in Employment Rate, which measures the proportion of graduates who secure jobs or receive promotions within three months of completing their programs.
The school attributed its performance partly to its practice-oriented teaching and partnerships with more than 500 businesses, including multinational companies and enterprises among Vietnam’s 500 largest businesses. These partnerships give MBA students opportunities to engage with senior executives, tackle practical management challenges and expand their professional networks.
Yeo Kee Heng, also known as Francis, a Singaporean entrepreneur who founded an IT consulting and project management company, said the program had helped him build professional connections while exploring business opportunities in Vietnam.
“The MBA program at BUV is highly practical, particularly for a foreign business owner like myself who is exploring the Vietnamese market,” he said.
“What I value most is the professional network I have been able to build here. I have had opportunities to learn from and connect with senior executives, business owners, and leading industry experts, connections that would otherwise have been difficult to establish in such a short period of time.”
International faculty and academic standards support performance
BUV scored 90.1 out of 100 in the International Faculty Ratio, contributing to a diversity score of 66, above the global average of 60.1.
The university said all its faculty members hold qualifications and have professional experience from international universities or organizations. Its international teaching staff and diverse student community allow MBA students to exchange perspectives and learn from professionals across industries and markets.

Its score in the Staff with PhD indicator also increased by nearly 15% from the 2026 rankings, contributing to its performance in Thought Leadership, which assesses academic expertise and research.
The university said it continues to invest in faculty development and academic activities to strengthen postgraduate education.
Professor Rick Bennett, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President of the university, said the ranking reflected the university’s focus on preparing graduates for leadership roles.
“This year’s rise in the rankings is an encouraging milestone that reinforces our commitment to equipping students with the capabilities needed to become future leaders,” he said.
“In a rapidly changing world, we will continue to place career development and leadership capability at the heart of the MBA experience, enabling students to translate knowledge into effective organizational leadership and meaningful career progression.”
BUV operates under a quality assurance framework incorporating national and international standards and complies with requirements set by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training.
The university said it is the first in Vietnam to receive a QS 5-Star rating twice and the first higher education institution in Vietnam and ASEAN to achieve institutional accreditation from the U.K.’s Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA).
Expansion of postgraduate programs
BUV is expanding its postgraduate offerings to meet demand for skills in business management, data analytics and digital transformation.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, the university is partnering with Manchester Metropolitan University to introduce three dual-degree master’s programs: MSc International Business Management, MSc Business Analytics and MSc AI for Digital Business.
Manchester Metropolitan University’s Business School holds Triple Crown accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS, a distinction achieved by approximately 1% of business schools worldwide. Graduates of the three programs will receive master’s degrees from both institutions.
The programs combine academic study with practical business applications and offer qualifications relevant to international employment opportunities.

The university also aims to support Vietnam’s ambition to become a regional education hub by expanding internationally oriented programs and strengthening links between higher education and industry. See here for more information about BUV’s postgraduate program.
