New Delhi. After the success of his film 'Jailor', Rajinikanth has once again returned in the role of 'Tiger Muthuvel Pandian'. 'Jailer 2' hit the theaters on October 15 and received a great response from the audience on the very first day. This film has not only done well at the domestic box office but also at the international level.

According to preliminary data from Saknilk, Rajinikanth's film made a net collection of Rs 59.70 crore in India. It grossed Rs 43.35 crore in Tamil and Rs 12.50 crore in Telugu. Despite getting fewer shows in Hindi, the film grossed over Rs 3 crore.
Earnings boom in foreign countries too
Rajinikanth's 'Jailer 2' has performed brilliantly in the overseas market as well. It crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide on its first day, taking its total worldwide collection to more than Rs 125 crore. This film has earned Rs 55 crore in foreign countries, which shows how high is the popularity of Rajinikanth.
Jailer 2 breaks the record of its predecessor
'Jailer 2' has broken the record of Rajinikanth's earlier film 'Jailer', which had earned Rs 91.2 crore on the first day in 2023. However, 'Jailor 2' could not break the record of Rajinikanth's film 'Coolie', which had made a business of Rs 155 crore on the first day.
