Cam Ranh serves Nha Trang and Khanh Hoa Province, connecting Vietnam’s south-central coast with international markets. In 2025, the airport handled nearly 7.3 million passengers, including about 4.7 million international travelers.

More than 30 airlines operate at the airport, which added 13 airlines and 14 routes in 2025, including connections to Seoul, Busan and Chengdu.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of Cam Ranh International Terminal, airport authorities, partner brands and IPP Travel Retail.

Phillip Nguyen, Vice President of IPPG and CEO of IPP Travel Retail, said the store aims to meet travelers’ immediate needs while introducing Vietnamese culture to international visitors.

“Every passenger who passes through here is an opportunity for us to introduce Vietnam to friends from around the world,” he said.

Travel Essentials features three main product categories: Travel Tech, offering electronic devices and accessories; Kids Toys & Hobbies, catering to children and families; and Local Gifts, featuring souvenirs and regional specialties.

“We wanted more than just a convenience store. We wanted to understand what travelers need for their trip and help them take a little piece of Vietnam with them when they leave, through local gifts and our little friend TIPPI,” Nguyen said.

The store also introduced TIPPI, a mascot designed to represent the brand and its connection to Vietnamese culture.

TIPPI features a rounded, cloud-like shape and friendly expression, wearing a traditional Vietnamese conical hat (not there) decorated with the national flag and an oh noa garment associated with southern Vietnam.
