Controversy has arisen in Jharkhand after the video of a girl and her Muslim friend playing Dandiya during Navratri went viral on social media. The matter is being told about a Dandiya Nights program organized in Jamshedpur. In the video, some people are seen interrogating the girl and her friend. During this, a person calling himself Ravi Singh associated with a Hindu organization demands to talk to the girl's mother. After the matter came to light, Jharkhand Minister Irfan Ansari has also reacted on it.
Dr. Irfan Ansari released the video and wrote that SP Jamshedpur and Jharkhand Police should take immediate action. This kind of open bullying and attempts to disturb social harmony will not be tolerated in Jharkhand. They should not have this much courage. This is not Uttar Pradesh, this is Jharkhand! Here people will celebrate Eid and Diwali also. Our Jharkhand is the land of mutual brotherhood, love and Ganga-Jamuni culture.
He further wrote that if any anti-social element weakens our brotherhood by spreading hatred, he will be dealt with with force. Our blood boils because of such anti-social elements. Jamshedpur's SP, DC and Jharkhand's DGP should take strict action on the matter within 24 hours. Take strict legal action against the culprits and arrest them and send them to jail. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren ji is also requested to take cognizance of this matter and ensure law and order and social harmony in the state.
'Your daughter has come with a Muslim boy', called the mother
In the viral video, a person named Ravi Singh is seen trying to talk to the girl's mother on the phone. He says that his daughter Sonali has come to play Dandiya with a Muslim youth, whose name is said to be Nafeez. He questions the girl's family whether they have information about this. In the video, the young man is also asked his name and work. The young man describes himself as connected to the media. During this time the girl is heard telling him to leave her. She asks why she is being harassed. However, all the allegations made in the video and information related to the identity of the youth have not been independently confirmed.
Allegation of 'Love Jihad', also claim of checking Aadhaar card
According to the claims being made on social media, some people had started asking the identity of Muslim youth in the Dandiya program. In some posts it has also been claimed that Aadhaar card will be verified. People associated with the organization reportedly raised questions by linking this matter to 'Love Jihad'. On the other hand, some posts being shared on social media claimed that the girl's family was aware of their daughter's friend and supported him. These claims have also not been independently verified.
