According to Salman, the reason for his grandfather's displeasure was not religion, but his concern about his daughter's future and her life. He wondered what his daughter's life would be like with a person making a career in the film world. For this reason he had expressed his disagreement regarding this relationship.
What did Nana say when she went to mother's parents' house?
Salman mentioned another incident. He told that once there was a fight between his parents, after which his mother got angry and went to her maternal home. At that time Nana told her daughter that she can come home whenever she wants, but it is not right to return home like this after any domestic dispute.
This incident revealed a different picture of family relationships. Salman's words revealed that despite his initial displeasure, his maternal grandfather was worried about his daughter.
Nana's mind changed after Sohail's birth
The actor told that after the birth of his younger brother Sohail Khan, his maternal grandfather finally came to meet the family. He had reached Bandra from Mahim with a box of Jalebi. According to Salman, at that time his maternal grandfather regretted that due to his resentment he had missed many important moments of watching his grandchildren grow up. This story of Salman shows that sometimes resentment in family relationships becomes prolonged, but love and affection towards loved ones can ultimately reduce the distance.
