Ingredients to make Falahari Dosa from Sama Rice

You will not need much ingredients to make fruit dosa. Keep these things ready to make it.

  • Sama rice – 1 cup.
  • Sabudana – half cup.
  • Curd – 3 spoons.
  • Rock salt – as per taste.
  • Water – as per need.
  • Ghee or oil – for baking dosa.

Keep in mind that use curd and oil only as per the rules of your fast.

Easy method of making fruit dosa

First of all, take sama rice in a vessel and wash it twice with clean water. After this, soak them in water for about 5 hours, so that the rice becomes soft.

Now wash the sago in a separate vessel and soak it for a few hours. This will make it easier to grind and the dosa batter will get a better texture.

When the sama rice and sago are thoroughly soaked, drain off their excess water. Put both in the mixer and grind while adding water little by little. Keep in mind that the batter should neither be too thick nor too thin.

If eating curd is allowed during your fast, then add three spoons of curd to the batter. After this add rock salt as per taste and mix well. Keep the batter for some time, so that its texture becomes good.

Now heat a non-stick or iron pan. Apply some ghee or oil on the pan and with the help of a ladle, pour the batter and spread it in a round shape. Let the dosa cook on medium to low flame. When the dosa is cooked from the bottom and the edges start becoming crunchy, turn it carefully.

Bake for some time from the other side also. When the dosa is cooked well, take it out in a plate. Similarly, prepare dosa from the remaining batter also.

What to serve Falahari Dosa with?

Dosa made from sama rice can be served with green chutney, coconut chutney or any fruit side dish of your choice. If you wish, you can also keep a fruit vegetable of potato along with it, provided all the ingredients used in it are in accordance with the rules of your fast.
