Baliya. Bhojpuri actor and MLC Pawan Singh has received a setback from Ballia court in the maintenance case related to his wife Jyoti Singh. The Additional Family Court has imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 on him for not appearing in the court on the scheduled date. Also, he has been directed to appear in the next hearing.

This matter is related to the maintenance petition filed by Jyoti Singh. Its hearing is going on in the court of Additional Family Court Judge Kamalapati. The final decision regarding the amount of maintenance has not been taken yet in the case.
Wife asked for Rs 5 lakh every month
According to sources, Jyoti Singh had filed a petition for maintenance in Ballia about three years ago. In this he has demanded Pawan Singh to give him Rs 5 lakh every month. The hearing on the petition is still going on and the court has to consider the arguments and evidence of both the parties.
Pawan Singh did not appear, court imposed damages

Following Pawan Singh's absence on the date fixed for hearing, the court imposed damages of Rs 3,000. The court has also ordered him to appear on the next scheduled date. According to the information, Pawan Singh had earlier appeared in the court in this case.
Evidence presented by Jyoti Singh
During the proceedings, Jyoti Singh's advocate presented evidence in the court. At present the process of cross-examination is going on. Further decision in the case will be taken after hearing the evidence and arguments of both the parties.
Earlier, during the last appearance of Pawan Singh, there was an uproar in the court premises. At that time the police had to intervene and he was taken out of the premises amid security. Now after the imposition of penalty for absence, the next hearing of the case is awaited.
