Union Minister Kiren Rijiju attack on the opposition

Kiren Rijiju Allegations Opposition Conspiracy SIR Protest: Amid ongoing protests over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) issue, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Sunday made allegations against the opposition. He has claimed that the opposition and anti-India elements are hatching a big conspiracy to incite violence in the country. According to Rijiju, attempts are being made to spread unrest on India’s roads similar to the violent upheaval seen in Bangladesh and the riots that broke out in France.

“Videos shared on social media”

Posting on social media platform X, Union Minister Rijiju wrote, “A conspiracy similar to the violent incidents in Bangladesh and riots, looting and arson in France was hatched against India. Anti-India gangs and some politicians have joined hands to incite the youth of the country to spread violence on the streets.” In support of his claim, Rijiju also shared a video of AISA president Neha Bora and senior advocate Prashant Bhushan, in which they are seen advocating for regime change.

“Government will be changed not by Soros but by election”

Hitting out at talk of regime change, Kiren Rijiju bluntly said, “These dangerous conspirators are forgetting that India is neither Bangladesh nor France. Government and regime change in India is certainly possible – but only through a democratic electoral process, not at the behest of George Soros.” The political controversy has deepened after statements of ‘regime change’ surfaced during protests by opposition leaders and student organizations against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar in Delhi.

“Change of government is a constitutional right of every citizen”

On the other hand, senior advocate Prashant Bhushan strongly rejected all the allegations of the central government. He clarified and said, “The government repeatedly claims that this is an opposition operation, but we are only appealing to save democracy in the country.” He added that it is not a crime to wish to change the government in the country or to express anger against the government, but it is a democratic and constitutional right of every citizen. If the government continues with such brutality then the people will definitely change the power.
