Under the first phase of Mission Shakti Phase 6, an awareness program was organized at Niveli Uttar Pradesh Power Limited located in Sajeti police station area on Saturday night. In this, the police team from Kanpur city and the women's help desk and anti Romeo team of police station Sajeti made women aware about the safety, respect and self-reliance of women, girls and girl students through street drama. Sajeti police station in-charge Inspector Anuj Kumar was also present in the program. Measures for security, women empowerment and prevention of cyber crimes were explained, the police team contacted the helpline numbers operated by the government, 1090, 1076, 1098, 112, 181.Giving information about numbers 101, 108, 102, 1930, and appealed to use them when needed, along with this, it was also explained about the facilities available from UP Cop App and safe use of social media platforms like WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. People were appealed to be alert to avoid cyber fraud. Police team also informed about various welfare schemes including Chief Minister Group Marriage Scheme, Prime Minister Ujjwala Scheme, and Destitute Women Pension Scheme. Apart from this, women were made aware about the laws related to prevention of sexual harassment at workplace and protection of women from domestic violence. In the programme, women and girls were made aware of their safety and rights and were assured of prompt resolution of their problems. During this, officers and employees of Niveli Power Plant and police force along with Sajeti police station in-charge were also present.
