What was to happen next was that the ball hit the edge of his bat and then went straight between the wicketkeeper and first slip.
Matt Renshaw, who was standing at first slip, was waiting for such an opportunity. He immediately dived to his right to catch the ball. It was here that he performed a miracle and took a brilliant catch just above the ground. From batsman Ryan Rickelton to wicketkeeper Alex Carey, everyone was surprised to see his catch.
