Leave rules will change in 206 madrassas

Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority has written a letter to the Education Department in this regard, directing them to take necessary action. This system will be applicable to a total of 206 madrassas which are recognized by the Education Department and have applied for recognition. According to the Minority Education Authority, the madrassas that seek recognition as schools will also have to follow the rules and educational system prescribed by the Education Department. Under this, now their weekly leave is also being decided like other schools.

Why was this decision taken?

The process of change in the education system of Madrasas is already going on in Uttarakhand. In the state, Uttarakhand State Minority Education Authority has taken over the system in place of Madrasa Board from July 1, 2026. Now this authority has the responsibility of matters related to recognition and education of minority educational institutions of the state. The state government says that there should be uniformity in the education system. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also said that such a law has been brought in the state, under which there should be the same system for everyone.
