Sonbhadra. Under the Interest Waiver Scheme-2026 implemented by the Uttar Pradesh Government, traders who are old trade tax and VAT defaulters will get 50 to 100 percent interest rebate. There is also a provision of 100 percent waiver of fine imposed only for non-payment of dues. The scheme will be effective for three months from October 16, 2026.

To avail the benefits of the scheme, a trader help desk has been set up at the State Tax Office, Robertsganj, which will operate from 10 am to 6 pm on working days.
