What was the whole matter?
The Siddhapeeth Ma Kunjapuri Tourism and Development Fair was organized on the night of October 18 in Narendranagar area of Tihri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. During Daler Mehndi’s performance in the program, there was a controversy when his live singing and different voices were heard in the background sound track. He reached the stage and told Daler Mehndi that he has been invited to the program by paying so much money, but how will he sing if he can’t even speak? After the video of this incident and the discussions about it, the matter got worse.
The minister said – Daler Mehndi was not aware of bad health
After the controversy escalated, Minister Subodh Uniyal said that he came to know later that Daler Mehndi was unwell. He said that if the singer was unwell, he should not have come to the programme. The minister further said that the full payment of Rs 35 lakh for the program had been made in advance and hotel booking had already been done. However, he clarified that he has no personal enmity with Daler Mehndi and had no intention of hurting the singer.
