UP News: A very good news has emerged for the youth of Uttar Pradesh who are dreaming of becoming government teachers and achieving great heights in the education field. Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has issued three big recruitment advertisements simultaneously to fill the vacant posts in non-government aided secondary schools of the state. Through this entire process, appointments will be made to a total of 20,382 posts of trained graduate teachers i.e. TGT, Principal at High School level and Principal at Intermediate level. Due to such a large number of vacancies, new enthusiasm is being seen among lakhs of youth preparing for competitive examinations. This step will not only open new avenues of employment, but will also completely remove the long standing shortage of teachers in secondary schools and the schools will also get better administrative leadership.
Program for 17,735 posts of TGT
The Commission has decided for direct recruitment on the largest number of 17,735 vacant posts of TGT i.e. Trained Graduate Assistant Teachers. Online application for selection on these posts is going to start from 24 October 2026. Interested and eligible candidates have been given the facility to deposit the application fee till 23 November 2026. If any mistake remains in the application form of any candidate, he can make necessary amendments in it till 26 November 2026. The Commission has also shown promptness in conducting the recruitment examination. The written examination for all these posts will be conducted on 23 and 24 December 2026. Since time is very short, candidates need to immediately speed up their studies and preparation.
Details of recruitment on high school headmaster posts
A total of 1,172 posts of headmasters are to be selected to take administrative command in secondary level high school schools. These posts have been divided on the basis of boys and girls schools. In this, 1,037 posts have been earmarked for boys' schools, while 135 posts have been earmarked for girls' schools. Online registration and application for these posts has been started from 23 October 2026. Candidates will be able to deposit the application fee till 22 November 2026 and time has been given till 26 November 2026 to make any corrections in the form. According to the schedule of the Commission, the examination for the post of Principal will be conducted on 7 January 2027.
Selection for 1,475 posts of Principal in Inter Colleges
To strengthen the educational quality and discipline in intermediate colleges, the Commission has issued an advertisement for recruitment to 1,475 posts of Principal. In this recruitment, 1,318 posts have been arranged for boys' schools, while 157 posts have been kept for girls' schools. The window for online registration and submission of applications for the post of Principal has also been opened from 23 October 2026. Candidates will have to deposit their fees by 22 November 2026 and will have time till 26 November 2026 to make amendments in the form. The written examination for this post will also be conducted along with that of the high school headmaster on January 7, 2027.
One time registration is very important before application
To make the entire selection process transparent, simple and secure, the Commission has made the system of One Time Registration i.e. OTR completely mandatory. This simply means that before filling the form for any post, the candidate will have to obtain the OTR number by filling the necessary information on the Commission's portal. Without this, no candidate will be able to complete the form for any post. The Commission has also made it clear that no separate personal information or advice will be given to anyone regarding educational qualification, age limit, reservation or other rules. Candidates will have to visit the official website of the Commission and read the entire advertisement and rule book carefully, so that no mistake is made while applying.
There will be a big change in the secondary education system
Such a large recruitment in aided non-government secondary schools of the state is being considered a big step for the education world. Due to the vacant posts of teachers and principals for a long time, the studies as well as the daily functioning of the schools were being adversely affected. Now with the arrival of 20,382 new teachers and principals, the learning environment in schools will improve and children will be able to get better guidance. The Commission has advised all the candidates to complete their registration and application on time without waiting for the last date, so that they do not face pressure on the server or any technical problem at the last moment.
