Diljit's concert fixed, assurance given to fans
New Delhi: The uncertainty that was there regarding the concert of famous Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh at Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium in Delhi on October 30 has now ended. Amidst the news of not getting permission from Delhi Police, Diljit himself has come forward and clarified that his show will happen on the scheduled date only and it will not be canceled under any circumstances. He came live on social media late at night and took a sharp dig at those spreading rumors and TV debates.
'Reels are made, tweets are made': Diljit's answer
Holding a cup of hot water on Instagram Live, Diljit told his fans that today is a very beautiful day and great vibes are coming. He quipped that are your reels made, tweets done and newsroom debates completed? He said in clear words that people should check the reality before shooting arrows in the air and blowing 'raw smoke'. Without proper information, debate was being conducted on media and social media only by taking advantage of the opportunity.
'I have come, will meet on 30th': Diljit assures fans
Dismissing all speculations about the show being canceled, Diljit assured his fans that he has reached India and will meet the audience at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 30. He smilingly asked the fans to come fully prepared and at the end of the live session, he expressed his love and ended his talk by saying 'I love you'. After this clear statement of Diljit, thousands of fans who had purchased tickets heaved a sigh of relief.
Dispute resolved after security plan, police gave permission
Delhi Police had on October 22 refused to grant No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the event citing upcoming festivals, huge crowd management and security concerns. After this the organizers (BookMyShow Live and Live Nation) held a high-level meeting with Delhi Police officials. After the organizers presented a new and detailed blueprint of security arrangements, traffic diversion and crowd control, the police gave its consent for the event, clearing the way for the concert.
