New Delhi. Samajwadi Party President and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav has given a very objectionable and controversial statement about the people of Uttarakhand. Akhilesh said that the biggest infiltrators in UP are from Uttarakhand. Whereas CM Dhami has hit back at Akhilesh by referring to the Rampur Tiraha incident of Muzaffarnagar that took place during the tenure of Mulayam Singh Yadav. He said that Akhilesh Yadav has insulted the self-respect of Devbhoomi and our struggle. Along with this, he asked the Congress whether the Congress Party supports this statement of its political ally Akhilesh Yadav? Is it acceptable to Congress to call the people of Uttarakhand infiltrators?
Uttarakhand is the land of Gods as well as the land of heroes. This holy land has given the country saints, soldiers and many personalities dedicated to the service of the nation. Akhilesh Yadav ji, calling the people of Uttarakhand as infiltrators is an insult to the self-respect of Devbhoomi and our struggle. The people of Uttarakhand have also not forgotten that when Akhilesh Yadav's father Mulayam Singh Yadav was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, bullets were fired at the agitators demanding Uttarakhand statehood at Rampur Tiraha in Muzaffarnagar. During the father's rule, bullets were fired on the agitators of Uttarakhand and today the son is calling the people of Uttarakhand as infiltrators! The people of Uttarakhand can never forget their struggle and sacrifice. Does Congress support this statement of its political ally Akhilesh Yadav? Is it acceptable to Congress to call the people of Uttarakhand infiltrators? Congress should answer to the people of Devbhoomi.

CM Dhami said that Uttarakhand is both the land of gods and also the land of warriors, this sacred land has given the country saints, soldiers and many personalities dedicated to the service of the nation. During the father's rule, bullets were fired on the agitators of Uttarakhand and today the people of Uttarakhand are being called infiltrators by the son. The people of Uttarakhand can never forget their struggle and sacrifice. Congress should answer to the people of Devbhoomi as to what is its opinion on this issue.

Dhami said that this is an insult to the identity, self-respect and struggle of Devbhoomi as well as to the brave soldiers and military traditions who made supreme sacrifice in the defense of the country. Akhilesh Yadav should publicly apologize to all the people of Uttarakhand for his derogatory statement. The self-respecting people of Uttarakhand will never accept this insult. The people of the state will give a befitting reply to Samajwadi Party's ally Congress in a democratic manner in the year 2027.
