Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant are preparing to return to the team…will be seen playing against New Zealand A!

New Delhi. A good news is coming for Indian cricket fans. Team India's main fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and aggressive wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant are preparing to return to the field together.

Just before the two-match Test series against New Zealand starting on November 19, both these powerful players can be seen in action in the third unofficial Test match to be played between India A and New Zealand A. This match will be played in Lincoln between 7 to 10 November.

  • Before boarding the flight for New Zealand tour, both the star players are currently working hard on their fitness at the BCCI Center of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. Both these players play an important role in the Indian Test team.

Jasprit Bumrah was out of the field after winning the gold medal for India in the Asian Games in the beginning of October. After being rested in the West Indies series and T20 series against New Zealand, now under the BCCI's 'Return-to-Play' protocol, he will be fully fit and leave for New Zealand on November 1.

    Pant and Bumrah may return

Rishabh Pant, who was suffering from side strain problem during the Irani Cup, has also started light batting practice in Bengaluru. However, he is yet to get the green signal from the BCCI medical team. In Pant's absence, Kumar Kushagra was included as the backup for India 'A''s first two matches.

If the medical team declares Pant completely fit, then in the match against New Zealand 'A' on November 7, Indian fans will get to see Bumrah's yorkers and Pant's stormy sixes together, which will prove to be the biggest booster dose for Team India before the Test series against New Zealand.
