India Block's rally at Ramlila Maidan on November 1, claims to raise ten lakhs!

Opposition alliance India Bloc has stepped up preparations for a proposed rally on November 1 at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan against alleged 'vote theft', alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Congress and other allies of the alliance are busy making preparations to make this rally a success.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is going to visit Ramlila Maidan on Monday to take stock of the preparations for the rally. During this, he will inspect the security arrangements, stage and other arrangements. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal also reached Ramlila Maidan before the proposed rally and took stock of the preparations. At the same time, Delhi Congress President Devendra Yadav also reviewed the preparations for the event.

Devendra Yadav said while talking to IANS that a huge crowd is expected in the India Block rally. He claimed that around 10 lakh people from across the country can participate in it. Yadav said, “We are all very happy that a huge rally of India Alliance is going to be held at Ramlila Maidan on November 1. Many rallies have been held at Ramlila Maidan before, but I am hopeful that this will be a historic rally, in which around 10 lakh people from across the country will participate.”

He said that Congress will continue its demand to keep Jantar Mantar open for protests. However, considering the possibility of a large number of people attending the proposed rally, Ramlila Maidan was considered a more suitable venue.

Yadav said the geographical location of Ramlila Maidan makes it convenient for people coming from different parts of the country. Major roads, railway stations and Rajghat are located around it. He said, “I am happy that all the allies of the India alliance will reach here with full strength.”

Meanwhile, the Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has reiterated its demand to hold the rally proposed on November 1 after Diwali. The organization has expressed concern over the possibility of a large number of people gathering in the national capital.

A day after Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi rejected the demand to change the date of the traders' rally, CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal wrote a detailed letter to the Congress leader. In this he requested to organize the rally after the festival which is likely to be attended by about 10 lakh people.

This organization representing traders and entrepreneurs in Delhi has also sent a copy of the letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. CTI has urged him to discuss the issue with India Bloc's allies. Leaders and workers of various parties of the opposition alliance from across the country are expected to participate in the proposed rally.
