A criminal complaint has been filed against Anjali Arora in Kanpur court. The complainant and the event organizer alleged that Anjali performed only for 12 minutes.

According to Bollywood Hungama, 'Mathrubhoomi' has received No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. However, the film is yet to be screened at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
