Haryana has signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) involving proposed investments of around ₹12,000 crore across multiple sectors on the first day of a high-level delegation's visit to Gujarat, as the state steps up efforts to attract industrial investment ahead of the Happening Haryana Global Summit in April 2027.

The delegation is led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who held one-to-one meetings with company founders, managing directors and chief executive officers to discuss expansion of existing operations, establishment of new industrial units and potential investment proposals. Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh also participated in the meetings.

The proposed investments include ₹5,000 crore in defense textiles, ₹2,000 crore in technical textiles and ₹500 crore in industrial machinery. The waste-to-energy sector accounts for another ₹4,000 crore, while solar energy and cosmetics manufacturing together represent proposed investments of ₹400 crore.

Saini said the government was working to create a business-friendly environment through improved ease of doing business, industrial infrastructure, connectivity, simplified procedures and time-bound approvals.

He highlighted Haryana's single-window clearance system, investment promotion schemes and plug-and-play industrial facilities as measures intended to facilitate investment. The government would also coordinate across departments to reduce procedural hurdles and provide eligible incentives and approvals in accordance with applicable rules, he said.

The Chief Minister added that feedback from industry representatives would be considered while improving policies and procedures to help companies implement projects on schedule.

Describing the agreements as a step towards expanding industrial activity, developing ancillary industries and building new business partnerships, Saini said the proposed projects could strengthen the local economy and generate employment opportunities.

He invited industrialists and investors to participate in the Happening Haryana Global Summit scheduled for April 2027.

The investment figures represent proposals under the MoUs; Their eventual implementation and employment impact will depend on the progress of the projects.
