Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced its support to the INDIA alliance rally to be held on November 1 at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. Party founder Abhijeet Deepke has also raised questions on the SIR process while demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Tezzbuzz Desk – INDIA alliance's rally to be held at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on November 1 has received the support of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). Party founder Abhijeet Deepke gave this information by posting on social media platform X on Wednesday, 28 October 2026. He wrote, “Cockroach Janata Party extends its support to the November 1 rally of INDIA Block.” Along with this he said, “Gyanu (CEC Gyanesh Kumar) will have to go. The country is above all.”

CJP demands resignation of Gyanesh Kumar

Abhijit Deepke also shared the official statement issued by CJP on X. In this, the party demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, saying that this is necessary to restore the credibility and independence of the Election Commission.

In the statement, Deepke said, “The basic principle of democracy is that the people should choose their government, and not the government should choose its voters.” He alleged that this principle is being undermined through the SIR process and due to this, Gyanesh Kumar has lost the confidence required to monitor free and fair elections.

Mentioned Ambedkar's thoughts

In his statement, Deepke referred to the views of Constitution maker Dr. BR Ambedkar and said that every adult citizen should have equal right to vote regardless of caste, religion, gender, education or economic background.

He said that democracy can be successful only when every citizen has equal participation in deciding the future of the country. According to him, the objective of a democratic system should be to include more and more citizens in the process, not to exclude them from it.

Concern expressed over SIR process

Abhijit Deepke expressed concern over the apprehensions of names of eligible voters being removed from the voter lists due to the SIR process. He said that instead of making it easier for citizens to exercise their right to vote, fears of people being disenfranchised are increasing.

He said that Dr. Ambedkar had struggled to give equal importance to the political voice of every Indian. It is the responsibility of the government and constitutional institutions to protect this principle.

Deepke said that the responsibility of the Election Commission is to protect the right to vote of every eligible citizen, and not to create obstacles in its exercise. He further said that the Constitution has given every adult citizen the right to vote and no eligible citizen should be deprived of it.

CJP said in its statement that the party will support all organizations struggling for free and fair elections in the country.
