Jennifer Lawrence has taken a swipe at her The Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth, who previously spoke about her “disgusting” habit during their kissing scenes.
During an interview with Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the 36-year-old American actress and producer addressed the Australian actor’s claims that she used to eat tuna and garlic before locking lips with him in the popular franchise.
“I didn’t! I think that, like, I don’t even know… what to say, Liam,” Lawrence said.
She continued, “We are filming for many months, and filming takes a lot of time. He made it seem like that’s just, like, something I did on purpose. Like, I would just… eat tuna.”
What did Liam Hemsworth actually say?
During a previous appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2014, Hemsworth claimed that kissing the Academy Award-winning actress was an “uncomfortable” experience for him.
“Anytime I had to kiss (Jennifer Lawrence) was pretty uncomfortable,” he said at the time.
The Lonely Planet actor added, “When you look at it on the outside, it looks like a great picture. She’s one of my best friends, I love her, but if we had a kissing scene, she would make a point of eating garlic or tuna fish or something that was disgusting. Right before the scene, she’d be like, ‘Yeah, I ate tuna,’ or ‘I had garlic, and I didn’t brush my teeth.’ And I’d be like, ‘Fantastic, I can’t wait to get in there and taste it!’”
