Instagram Update: Facebook Takes On YouTube, 90-Minute Videos Can Now Be Uploaded On Instagram, Big Benefit For Creators

social media Knowing something has become a part of our life. In that Instagram Currently playing a big role, we look at Insta for small and big things. It became a tool to show your art. Instagram allows you to post a 30 second reel, story, photo. But now Insta came with a new update. Which caused a big shock to Facebook and YouTube. Currently the company is working on longer videos and testing something new. Which is named as features. This feature will allow select people to upload long videos of up to 90 minutes. Instagram Update:

What exactly is the case?

Earlier we could upload a video of at least 1-2 minutes to Instagram. So people were using Facebook or YouTube to watch large videos. In order to attract the same people to Instagram, you can now upload a video of up to 90 minutes. This story has been told by Insta founder boss Adam Mosseri.

An update told in a podcast..

In Colin and Sameer’s podcast, he said, “I was very against big video before.” I only wanted short videos. But now times are changing, people like to watch podcasts, interviews, chats, big vlogs. Go to YouTube for that. Rather, if there are longer videos on Insta, people will use your app more.

This is huge for creators

Currently this feature is rolled out to select creators. They can upload a 90 minute horizontal video on them. These videos will appear in your regular feed and on the Explore page. Also, when you browse Instagram, videos appear and you will get to see larger videos. More importantly, creators can embed a short clip of their larger video as a reel. Those who like short reels can watch their full videos on Instagram. No need to go to another app for that.

Instagram is now rolling out a new app for TV. ‘Features’ will be given more importance on the TV app. This allows people who watch videos on TV to watch larger videos. This app is available on Samsung TV, Amazon Fire TV and Google TV. It will also come on Apple TV in a few days.

What else is new?

Insta is now going to bring two new things, the first thing is Series. In which creators can tell a story in parts. Like a serial episode 1, episode 2. People will find it easy to watch episodes one after the other.

Another thing is ‘second-screen’. In this you can use your mobile as a remote. You can stop watching a video on mobile and resume the same video on TV. You can save the video and watch it on TV later. It will be very convenient. The heaviest thing is the background playback. That means even if you close Insta, the sound of the video will continue. This is great for podcast listeners. But this feature has not come yet, Moseri said that it will come soon.

So will the creators get paid?

This is the most important question. Bigger videos get paid on YouTube. But there is no such plan on Insta yet. Insta doesn’t currently have a plan to pay for small or large videos. But the company says that this may change going forward. In short, Instagram is no longer just a time pass app. It is getting ready to compete with YouTube.
