New Delhi: There was a sensation in Mayur Vihar, eastern area of the capital Delhi, when the body of a 32-year-old youth was found in the bushes of the parking lot near Star City Mall. The deceased has been identified as Birju Rai. The injury marks on the head and the suspicious circumstances of the body have made the case mysterious. The family members have expressed suspicion of murder, while the police is trying to find out the real cause of death.
E-rickshaw driver Birju Rai was missing
According to the information, Birju Rai lived in New Ashok Nagar area of Noida and supported his family by driving an e-rickshaw. He was missing since last day. When the relatives who went in search of him reached Mayur Vihar, they found his body lying in the bushes near the parking lot. As soon as the family saw the dead body, the ground slipped beneath their feet.
Family members expressed suspicion of murder
The family members claim that Birju had injury marks on his head and there were no clothes on his body. In view of these circumstances, they have expressed fear of some untoward incident happening to him. However, murder has not been confirmed yet and the cause of death will be revealed only after investigation. Birju is survived by his wife and two children, who live in the village. The family is now facing the threat of losing their livelihood.
Police engaged in investigation
As soon as the information was received, Mayur Vihar police station reached the spot and started investigation. Now the police is trying to find out on the basis of evidence and other facts from the spot whether Birju's death was an accident or the result of some crime.
