New Delhi. These days, there is a special enthusiasm about film obsession among the lovers of horror films. The audience's interest in the Hindi version of this film has increased further because Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon are lending their voices to its main characters. Just before the film's release on the digital platform, both the stars along with director Amar Kaushik have re-filmed one of its most famous restaurant scenes. Kriti and Varun's style looked so impressive in this video that discussion about it has started on social media.
JioHotstar has shared this special video on its official X account. In this, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon are seen sitting face to face in a restaurant. In the beginning the atmosphere seems normal but gradually the feeling of fear and uneasiness starts increasing in the scene. Nervousness is clearly visible on Varun's face while Kriti is seen presenting the disturbing and scary style of her character Nikki. Both the actors have played this scene with a new style in Hindi. Director Amar Kaushik also became a part of this recreation.
Actually, Varun Dhawan is giving Hindi voice to the character of Bear and Kriti Sanon to Nikki in the film. In the original film, these roles were played by Michael Johnston and Andy Navarrete. Both the Bollywood stars have been chosen to convey the fear and thrill of the film to the Hindi audience with the same impact. This recreation of the restaurant scene is part of the promotion of the film and has been released ahead of the release of the Hindi version.
The story of Obsession revolves around a young man named Bear Belly. Bear is quiet by nature and works in a music store. He likes his co-worker Nikki but cannot muster the courage to express his feelings. Nikki is confident and friendly. Bear's life changes when he finds a mysterious toy named One Wish Willow in a crystal shop. The cashier at the store warns him that trouble has come to the lives of those who use this toy.
But the love-struck Bear ignores the warning. He breaks a willow branch and expresses his wish that Nikki would love him more than anything in the world. In the beginning his wish appears to be fulfilled. Nikki begins to grow closer to him and begins to give him the love that Bear has been longing for.
However, this love soon turns into a scary experience. Nikki's attachment grows excessive and her behavior becomes disturbing and violent. Bear begins to understand that the price of getting his wish fulfilled is extremely dangerous. Now he looks for a way out of this situation and to reverse his wish.
This unique idea of the film makes it different from the usual love story. Varun and Kriti's recreated restaurant scene has increased the curiosity about the film among the Hindi audience. Now it remains to be seen how much the audience likes this new combination of voice and acting of both the stars.
