Rampur, Uttar Pradesh: After being released from Rampur jail, Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan says, “What is there left to say? What can I say? The law has ceased to exist. After being released from Rampur jail, Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan said to the questions of journalists, what is left to say now? What is there to say? There is a punishment for being a Muslim. Our only mistake was that a Muslim established a university, this is our crime. We built schools for children, this is our crime. Let us tell you that the father and son were in jail serving sentence in two PAN card cases of Azam Khan's son Abdullah Azam. Just two days ago, Allahabad High Court granted bail to Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam and also suspended their sentence. Azam had also demanded a stay on the conviction from the High Court, however his demand has been rejected.

Azam and his son Abdullah were released today after getting bail from the High Court. But the ED team already present outside the jail took Azam into custody. Let us tell you that on October 28, just a day before Azam got bail, ED had attached the land and buildings of Mohammad Ali Johar University located in Rampur under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA Act). The value of the attacked properties has been estimated at Rs 426.46 crore, while their current market value is said to be around Rs 1170 crore.
