Yash recently revealed how his character in Ramayana left his son Yatharv emotional ahead of the much-awaited film’s release.
The 40-year-old actor, who is set to play Ravana in the upcoming mythological saga, opened up about the impact of his scene involving the killing of Jatayu.
During a media interaction, the Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups star shared his children’s reactions after watching the film’s preview at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles.
Speaking exclusively, he said, “I could see they had so many questions because for them, life is just starting. They are understanding how to behave, how to respect one another. I was so surprised to see my son’s reaction.”
In a similar vein, Pallavi shared how Yatharv became teary eyed after watching his father kill Jatayu in Ramayana.
She said, “Yatharv began crying. He said to Yash, ‘I didn’t like you killing that bird.’ He knows that it is his daddy and that he has done movies before and that maybe they were acting. But he said, ‘No, it is not nice. It is not good that you kill the bird even in the movie. I don’t think you should have done that.’ It was such a beautiful moment.”
This heartfelt conversation comes just days ahead of the film’s release.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana. The film is slated to hit the big screens on Thursday, November 5.
