Amidst the controversy and difficulties regarding the concert in Delhi, Diljit Dosanjh gave a brilliant performance. Singer said in Instagram Live after the show that he will keep working as long as he wants to.
Tezzbuzz Desk – Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh won the hearts of fans with his spectacular concert in Delhi on Friday night. However, there was a lot of controversy before his show and at one time it seemed that the concert might not be possible. Despite all the difficulties, the Punjabi superstar performed at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Friday evening. A few hours after the show ended, he went on Instagram Live and talked about the problems he faced during the concert and his critics. The 42 year old singer clearly said that he will keep working as long as he wants.
During Instagram Live, Diljit said in Punjabi, “We did the concert in Delhi. It was not easy. Many people tried to stop it, but we still did the show.” He said that he knows that many people will make fun of him and news channels will also try to create a negative atmosphere against him. Despite this he said, “But no matter how much negativity you spread, I'm still here baby. I'm not going anywhere.”
Diljit further said that he has been working for the last 25 years and will stop only when he wishes to do so. He is not going to stop before this. Referring to the problems faced during the concert, he said that he did not want to tell what problems were faced. The singer told that he does shows all over the world and faces problems there too, but especially when the shows start in India, problems start for him. He said that he does not know why this happens.
In fact, there was confusion about its organization till about a week before the concert. Delhi Police had initially refused permission citing security concerns and law and order responsibilities during festivals. After this the organizers submitted a new plan related to security, traffic and crowd management, after which the concert was approved.
There was intermittent rain in Delhi for two days, which threatened to affect the preparations for the concert. The stage was also wet due to rain, but despite this Diljit performed. His concert lasted for more than two hours and he made the fans dance with his powerful performance.
During this, Diljit also praised the Delhi Police and CRPF personnel. He said, “You guys made wonderful arrangements and made it very easy for us to do the show. My salute to Delhi Police and our young CRPF jawans. Thank you very much to all of you.”
During Instagram Live, Diljit also responded to those who often criticize him for his statements. He clearly said that he does not answer everyone's questions, but that does not mean that he is afraid of anyone. His message after the concert is in discussion that despite difficulties and criticism, he will continue his work.
