Now Navbharat Times newspaper has reported quoting sources that there may be a change in the Agniveer scheme. According to newspaper news, Agniveer may get extension for two more years. If this happens, Agniveer will get a chance to work for six years.
The tenure of the first batch of Agniveers who were recruited in the Army, Air Force and Navy is about to end between November and December. According to the news, changes in Agniveer scheme can be announced even before this. The recruitment scheme of Agniveer jawans was implemented in the year 2022. Under the scheme, 25 percent of Agniveers will be given permanent jobs in the Army, Air Force and Navy on the basis of four years of service. The newspaper quoted sources as saying that there is a preparation to give two-year extension to the remaining 75 percent of fire fighters. According to the news, after the extension, there will be three types of soldiers in Army, Air Force and Navy. Permanent soldiers, permanent Agniveers and extension Agniveers.
The tenure of the first batch of Agniveers of the Indian Navy is going to be completed on 21st November, the tenure of the first batch of Agniveers of the Indian Army is going to be completed on 31st December and the tenure of the first batch of Agniveers of the Air Force is going to be completed on 21st December.
